Luke's 1st year of daycare! 2 year old Pre K!

We had a very exciting first year of daycare. We debated sending Luke until he was a little older but we took a leap of faith and went for it! And we are so glad we did. The first month or so was hard because he cried but he finally got adjusted and loved going everyday! He was blessed with an amazing teacher Ms MiMi and Ms Nicole. He loves them dearly and so do I. Here are few pics from his end of the year ceremony! First Methodist goes above and beyond to make sure these kids have a great time while also learning. Luke has come so far since August!

This is Luke's teachers prediction for him! They know him well!

Canaan 2 months!

I cant believe my sweet boy is 2  months! You are growing so fast. We had your 8 week check up last week with Dr Watson you weighed 11 pounds and you were 22 inches long. You just started to laugh and coo! In the afternoons when I get home from work you grin so big when you see me! You truly are the sweetest baby. You are taking 4 ounces of formula at a time and eat every 2-3 hours. At night you are sleeping from around 8:30-2:30 then you get up around 6 am. Although on your 2 month birthday you slept all night which Mommy and daddy are thankful for! Your favorite thing is to be outside! We usually sit outisde in the evenings on the back porch and watch Luke play. We are so blessed to be your parents!

Mother's Day and Canaan's baby dedication!

We are so blessed to be apart of such a great church! We had baby dedication on mother's day for Canaan. Both sides of our families were there to celebrate this great day! We are thankful for this day to remind us all as a family and church that we are vowing to raise this sweet boy up in church and in God's holy word. I'm thankful that we will not being doing this alone that we have our family and church family to help us in this journey. But we ultimately know this huge responsibility is on Eli and I. We were asked what our prayer for Canaan is and here was our responses:

Amie: My prayer is that once Canaan reaches the age of understanding that he will declare Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior and that he would grow to be a man of faith and integrity!

Eli: My prayer for Canaan is that he grows to be a God fearing man who stays strong in his convictions and is always willing to sacrifice anything for the Lord.

I hope that we always remember these prayer's for our sweet boy and that when parenting is hard we will look to God's word.

I had a great Mother's day being a mommy to these two precious angels is the greatest blessing I have ever received! Eli bought me new patio furniture and I love it:)

Your first month!

Here is a brief run down of your first month!

We were so excited to bring you home and get into a routine of having 2 kids. Luke did so well adjusting to having a baby in the house we were so pleased. You were breast feed at first for the fiest 5 weeks. You ate alot every 1-2 hours and usually would nurse about 1 hour at a time. At night you only slept a couple of hours at at time for the first week. After about a week you started sleeping from 9-2 and then up to eat and then slept from 3-6 usually.
