County Fair!!!

We took Luke to the Union County fair last week. He went last year but he was too young to really do anything but look at the animals. This year he had a blast! Eli (he is really a great dad but sometimes he's over the top)  was really concerened about the swine flu:( All the way to the fair all Luke wanted to do was see and touch the pigs (lol):) We started with the animals, he loves animals! My best friend Laura and her boys were there also the girls from work were there with there kids. I wish I could say that the fair is my favorite thing to do but it is not, it's dirty, crowded and I really dont like the idea of a carney fixing my food:) but.... to see the smile on Luke's face is priceless. So we just all came home and took really good baths! Here are some pictures from our evening at the fair.

The BIG News!!

Eli and I announced our BIG news recently that Luke is going to be a big brother:) We were so very excited we found out back at the end of July and we told our family and close friends then but we announced it after I had my first doctors appointment. I was very nervous going to my first visit this time, then she couldn't hear the heart beat I really flipped out. So she did a ultrasound and that little baby was just a moving. We got to see the heart beat which is way better anyway. We both felt much better after the appointment. I am now 10 weeks and 1 day and feeling every minute of it. This time has been much different for me I have been sick more, tired more and just overall different. I think that everyone secretly wants a girl so most everyone says its a girl. I would be just as fine with another boy:) Eli and I really do not care as long as it a healthy baby. For some reason the second one doesn't come as easy to relax maybe its all the traumatic things that my friends have gone through.  I'm not sure but your mind seems to wonder and you seem to worry more. With Luke he was a surprise so all this was new and exciting. Now that I kinda of know what to expect I'm a little more cautious. We tell Luke that there is a baby in mommy's tummy he always smiles but I don't think he understands. Whatever this baby I know that he or she is already loved more than it will ever know. My due date is April 7th! I was pregnant with Luke in the Summer so this will be a whole new experience for me. I cant wait till I can hold this precious gift from God. Being a parent is the most rewarding job I could ever be given. I am so thankful that God has placed these children in our care as there earthly parents. My prayer is that we will raise them to be God honoring and glorifying.

First look at our sweet baby!
My best friend Laura ( or LaLa) made this shirt for Luke so we could announce the Big News. He wasn't in a picture taking mood so this is the we got!

Luke's 1st Razorback Game!

So last Saturday we loaded up and headed to Little Rock for our favorite past time Arkansas Razorback football! This is by far my favorite time of year. We were so excited that we were able to Luke for his game. This is my favorite thing about being a parent getting to share the things I enjoy most in life with Luke. I wasn't really sure how this would work out but we were prepared that we wouldn't make it through the whole game. Our best friends the Harvey's brought there daughter Kennedy so we made a day out of it.

Eli needed to do a little shopping at Academy so that was our first stop. Isn't my little Razorback Precious???

Next stop was the mall we had to return some shoes and do a little shopping. Mommy never turns down a chance to do some shopping.

Next we meet up with the Peevey's and Harvey's at my favorite pizza joint Damngoode Pies! These kids had a blast in there it's very small so we let them run wild:)

I know this one is blurry but it is still really cute!!

Now on to the Game!! These kids did awesome! The game was over 4 hours long which is a long time to keep a 2 year olds attention but they were so good!! These 2 love each other I hope that they always enjoy spending time together as much as they do now ( they really want have a choice cause we will spend time together).

 My sweet boys!

Sweet Babies! They are always loving on each other:)

We are huge Hog fans the outcome of the game was not what we wished but at the end of the day we are still Hog Fans! People get so caught up in winning every game and although that would be nice there is much more to life than whether or not we win every game. We enjoy everything about going to the Razorback Games from tailgating, to long weekend trips, to visiting with friends we don't get to see everyday. We LOVE the Arkansas Razorbacks and always will. We are so thankful that we were able to take Luke to his first Razorback game and hope he grows to love it as much as we do! Until next time GO HOGS GO!

Luke's 1st day of 2 year old Pre K!

So we had a big change in the Vinson household lately... Luke started at daycare for 2 year old Pre K! We had talked about this for a long time at what point we would put in school and we decided age 2 would be a good time. His only social interaction really is at church or with our friends so it was time for him to enter into the real world. We were hesitant and unsure of how he would react but he did great~ The first 2 days he walked right in there like a big boy, the days following that were different he realized that Mommy was leaving him there and started to cry every morning. He is slowly getting better with this. The past few weeks have been amazing how much his speech has improved. He can talk in sentences and he learns something new everyday. Everyday they send him home with little paper he has made and they usually bring me to tears. I feel like he has grown so much in just a short amount of time. He only goes everyday until noon then his MiMi or I go and get him. Everyday when we pick up he is happy as can be. A few new words that he has learned are Candy, Cup Cake, and Sucker and know these were all from school because we really dont let him have these only a special occasion. His teachers are Ms Mimi and Mrs Nicole and he loves them both. He learned his eye and hair color last week we asked him when he got home he told us his eyes were brown and hair was white LOL. Here are few pictures from his first day. This was a huge step for us but I think we made the right decision. We are so blessed that Luke has grandparents that are active in his daily life and want to keep him:)

I Love this Picture so sweet:)
