Afternoon with Little boys:)

Last Sunday I volunteered to keep my best friend Laura's boys. She is going to adopt a baby from South Korea and she was having her home study on Monday so I said let me keep the boys so you can get your house ready. These boys are like my own I love all of them dearly! Luke loves his LaLa! Laura is very dear to my heart we have been friends since high school and have been through so much together. I am so glad we live just a few miles a part and get to see each other at least a couple of times a week. I don't know what I would do without them. I am so excited that they have chosen to adopt a baby, this kid couldn't be blessed with any better parents. I know that this is a leap of faith for them but I know God will bless them dearly. Weekend with Pharmacy Gang!!

I know that I have written about them before but I can never say enough about what this group of friends mean to us. We have a group of 5 couples that we meet while Eli was in pharmacy school at that time none of us were married or had children. Boy have the times changed:) We are all married and everyone has a kid or 2:) We have been through so much together and we cherish the moments we get to spend together. I always heart than a man is blessed if he has one true friend we are blessed with many. It is hard and getting harder for us to have these get together with kids, jobs, our families etc.. But we always make a point to do it!! I hope that we will have many years together!! We were missing two couples this time but hopefully we will catch up with them soon! We took out Peyton's bosses party barge we said times sure have changed from the days of being in a ski boat playing all day to hanging out on the party barge and swimming all day lol I think we are getting old:) Here are a few pictures from our trip!

So back before having Luke when I would see a mom with her children on a leash I would think what is she thinking??? Well now that I have a 22 month old I know what she was thinking.... I am the type of mom that works 40+ hours a week so when I have time off I want to spend every  minute with Luke! I am known for my passion of shopping so this includes draggin Luke along. Well he does really well in his stroller frankly because that is all he has ever known!! Until my friends Ashley and Meredith bought leashes for there kiddos Luke didnt know any different than the luxury of his stroller. Well to me its not fair for Luke to have to ride in the stroller when his friends get to run on a leash sooooooo I jumped on board!! While out shopping I ran in Target and got Luke a Puppy dog backpack leash!! I was hesitante of how he would react but he LOVED it!! He was so happy !! We had a great day shopping with Meredith and Natalie we got all the party supplies for Luke's second birthday!! We are blessed to have such great friends and thank God for them!!

4th of July and Lukes 1st Movie Adventure!!

Since 4th of July fell on Wednesday this year we didnt make any big plans. So we took Luke to see the Fireworks in Parkers Chapel we were a little hesitante because last year he didnt like them at all but we went for it anyway. He loved them! We meet Paw and Nana there and he had a blast! This Baby loves his Paw!!

Then the next day (4h of July) we slept late and just did some work around the house. Later that afternoon we decided to take a family trip to the river! Me, Eli, Luke, My sister AKA as Big Mama, my nephews devin, and zach and brother Jamie and SIL Crystal! We had a fun afternoon letting the boys ski, knee board and tube and just enjoyed quality time together. Luke acutally got in the water!! I was so happy! He kicked and splashed and didnt want to get out! He even learned to float! Its sad how fast he is growing just two weeks he didnt want in the water!  I am so blessed to have my brother and sister we are such a close family and I love them dearly!

Laura invited Luke and I to go on a Mother/Son date to the movies! When I got home from work I told Luke we were going to the movies with Beckett and Brody he said LALA and started clapping he was was so excited!  We had planned to go to flying burger then go see Brave! Flying burger was closed due to no power so we went to Pizza Inn. Luke loves pizza so this worked out good! I was again hesitante to take Luke to the movies but I thought worse case scenario we would leave early but that wasnt the case he sat there and watched the entire movie!! I was one proud momma! I cherish every moment I get with this little guy and Im so thankful God choose me to be his Mommy:) We are so thankful for the Little's and what they mean to our family we are blessed to call them friends:)

Life with Luke at 22 Months !

Luke you are growing extremely to fast Mommy wants you to slow down.... You are a veyr active little guy, you spend most of your day playing Bat Ball as long as someone will pitch the ball to you!  You love to be read to and  you are learning a new word everyday. You love to sing Old Mc Donald had a farm, twinkle twinkle little star, and hum the alphabet. I am amazed at all the new things you are learning.  You best bud is "Kide" as you call him he is with you every step you make! We are so blessed to have such a easy going baby, you love to go! Your favorite past time is riding the Rhino which you refer to as the BomBa!! All of your grandparents absolutely adore you and spend every minute they can with you! Your eating habits are not what they should be but you get it honest from your momma! You recently went to the dentist which was quite an expereince but we surrived it he said your right on track and that your teeth looked good! He said I needed to be flossing your teeth and I laughed but acutally you kinda like to have your teeth flossed! You still dont like to have your hair cut but I have given that job to MiMi Janet she takes you to Ms Carla and you do pretty well with her. You are still a good sleeper we have set your bedtime for 9:30 and usually you are out by then if not we lay you down and you cry for a couple of minutes but then go on to sleep you are usually awake before I leave in the mornings around 7:15! The only thing you are attached to is this one sippy cup and boy do you know if we try to trick you! You can basically tell us anything that you want or need but my favorite thing to hear you say is "I need my mommy" it melts my heart I know that you want always need me so im taking it all in! Life at the Vinson house has surely changed over the past 22 months but for the better we have lots of kissess, hugs, snuggles and laughs with a little brown eyed, fat feet, bundle of joy we call Luke!
